A Legacy Woven Through Generations

For more than 100 years, our family's journey has been woven into the rich tradition of Indian sarees. It is a story of resilience, hard work, and a deep love for preserving India's timeless textile heritage.

The Genesis & Pre-Independence Roots

Late Shri Krishna Chandra Saha

Our story began with Late Shri Krishna Chandra Saha, our family patriarch. Before India's independence, when present-day Bangladesh was known as East Bengal, he moved to India with hope, determination, and a dream to build a better future.

Starting with a small wholesale saree business, he earned the trust of customers through honesty, fair dealings, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. What started as a humble venture gradually became a name respected across the saree trade.

Carrying the Torch Forward

Shri Monmohan Saha

The legacy was lovingly carried forward by his son, Shri Monmohan Saha, who established Krishna Chandra Monmohan Saha.

With the same values passed down from his father, he strengthened the family's reputation and continued serving generations of customers who believed in authenticity and craftsmanship.

A New Era • Founded 17th September 2001

Shri Tarak Saha & Vastra Kuttimm

On 17th September 2001, a new chapter began. Inspired by his family's rich textile legacy, founder Shri Tarak Saha established Vastra Kuttimm as an independent venture. His vision was simple yet meaningful: to bring the finest handpicked sarees from across India under one roof, while giving every customer a shopping experience built on trust, warmth, and genuine care.

Over the past 25 years, under Shri Tarak Saha's leadership, Vastra Kuttimm has become a trusted destination for women who appreciate authentic Indian weaves, celebrating the artistry, heritage, and craftsmanship of weavers across India.

The Soul of Our Craft

“To us, a saree is much more than a piece of clothing. It becomes a part of life's most treasured moments. It is worn at weddings, festivals, celebrations, and family gatherings, carrying stories and memories from one generation to the next. We understand the emotions behind every purchase, and that is why every saree at Vastra Kuttimm is chosen with the same care and attention we would give to our own family.”
